Menoir — by Brahma Origins LLC
Cookie Policy
Effective Date: April 1, 2025
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Menoir, operated by Brahma Origins LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies on our platform at menoir.co. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit a website or use a web application. They help the platform recognize your device, maintain your session, and provide core functionality. Similar technologies include local storage tokens and session storage, which serve comparable purposes within web applications.
3. How We Use Cookies
Menoir uses only essential cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or analytics cookies that identify you across third-party sites.
3.1 Essential Cookies (Required)
These cookies are strictly necessary to operate the Service. The platform cannot function correctly without them. They cannot be disabled.
| Cookie | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|
| Authentication Token | Stores your JWT session token to keep you logged in | Session end or token expiry (~1 hour) |
| Refresh Token | Stores a secure token used to renew your authentication session without requiring re-login | Per plan/session configuration |
| CSRF Protection Token | Prevents cross-site request forgery attacks | Session-scoped |
| Session Identifier | Maintains your active session state across page navigations | Browser close or logout |
4. What We Do NOT Use
We explicitly do not use:
- Advertising or retargeting cookies
- Third-party analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics)
- Social media tracking pixels
- Behavioral profiling cookies
- Fingerprinting technologies
Because we use only essential cookies, we do not display a cookie consent banner — essential cookies do not require opt-in consent under most applicable laws. If we introduce non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this policy and obtain consent where required.
5. Cookies Set By Third Parties
When you use payment features, Stripe may set its own cookies or browser storage items on your device as part of secure payment processing. These are governed by Stripe's Cookie Policy, available at stripe.com. We do not control these cookies.
6. Diners Viewing QR Menus
When a diner scans a QR code and views a restaurant's digital menu, no account or login is required. We may set a session-scoped technical token solely to serve the correct menu page. No persistent tracking cookies are set for diners.
7. Managing Cookies
Since we use only essential cookies, disabling them through your browser settings may prevent the Service from functioning correctly. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings > Privacy, Search and Services > Cookies
Please note that clearing cookies will log you out of the Service and may affect functionality.
8. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if we introduce new technologies or change how we use existing ones. We will update the effective date at the top of this document and notify you of material changes via email or platform notice.
